I haven't posted anything in along time. Sorry. I am glad you are visiting my blog though. Thanks for stopping by. I have been working on something a little bit different.
I want to enter this art show coming up in Harrisonburg this spring.
The art piece has to be 6", no more.
The idea I had was to paint just the eyes of an individual.
Someone peeping out behind something.
I started with a block of oak wood, 6" x 3 1/2" x 1".
I painted some Gesso on the front of the raw wood,
then sketched what I wanted and then did a light under-wash.
I then started adding on the color.
I have a lot left to do, I hope I don't get too fussy but I can't help myself.
